Responsibility and scope
Navoom is developed by SkewSense. This policy describes how data is handled by the iOS version of Navoom and this support page.
Location and route data
When you allow location access, Navoom may use your device location to show your position and guide navigation. Place searches, destinations, coordinates and route requests are sent to the services needed to provide maps, search and route calculation, including Apple and Mapbox services depending on the feature you choose.
Camera and motion
Navoom may request camera access for road guidance features and motion data for device orientation. These permissions are optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
Data on your device
The app may store preferences, recent destinations and information needed to display the map and navigation on your device. You can remove this data by deleting the app; some options can also be managed within the app itself.
Map providers
Navoom uses Apple MapKit and Mapbox SDKs for maps, search and routes. These providers may receive technical information, service requests and location data needed to respond to a request. Navoom disables the Mapbox telemetry option in its code, but this does not eliminate operational requests needed for maps, routes, billing, fraud prevention or service security.
Sharing, advertising and accounts
Navoom does not offer user accounts, behavioural advertising, in-app purchases or social networking features in the version described by this policy. We do not sell personal data. We do not claim that map providers do not process data: their processing is also governed by their own policies.
